About Glenview Ultimate
The Glenview Ultimate Frisbee Club is a community based & parent run youth sports program in Glenview Illinois. Started in 2026 by Colin and Riley Carrigan, along with their father. We teach the basics of Ultimate Frisbee with a heavy emphasis on 'Spirit of The Game'!
What Kids Learn
- Rules of Ultimate & Spirit of the Game
- Backhand and forehand throwing fundamentals
- Catching basics (pancake vs. claw)
- Pivoting, spacing, and smart field awareness
- Cutting and getting open with timing
- Offense and defense setups (zones, stacks, and more)
- Positive communication & conflict resolution
- Teamwork, leadership, and shared responsibility
- Balance, agility, and coordination through drills and play
Team Leadership
Head Coach
Brian Carrigan
Brian has played ultimate for most of his life, including at The University of Notre Dame and Northwestern. He recently found a passion for coaching while volunteering his time to AYSO soccer, basketball at the Glenview Park Center, and youth ultimate with the Chicago Union. Coach Brian brings his experience, high energy, and positivity to the team.
Boys Team Captain
Colin Carrigan
Colin is a 6th grader at Springman Middle School and a multi-sport athlete. He currently plays soccer, flag football, basketball, and ultimate with The Chicago Union's Elite Frisbee Academy.
Girls Team Captain
Riley Carrigan
Riley Carrigan is a 5th Grader at Hoffman Elementary School. Riley currently plays Basketball and competes in Silks with the Dance Academy.
